5 Parks You Have to Visit in Milton, Georgia

The city of Milton, Georgia is known for its scenic beauty and natural charm. One of my favorite things about Milton is the abundance of green space and rural, small-town feel mixed with the convenience of an incredible location, close to shopping, restaurants, and plenty of other activities. With several parks spread across the city, it is a perfect place to take the kids to explore and enjoy the outdoors, especially now that the weather is warming up. Here are five of my favorite parks here in Milton, Georgia:

  • Bell Memorial Park – Located in the heart of Milton, Bell Memorial Park is a 41-acre park that offers a variety of recreational activities. Bell Memorial is an active-use park that includes four baseball fields, two multi-purpose turf fields, picnic areas, pavilions, and a playground. Personally, we’ve spent many a weekend there for our son’s baseball games. The park also includes extensive walking trails and is home to the Mark Law Arboretum. • Providence Park – Providence Park is a 42-acre heavily wooded nature haven in the heart of Milton. It’s a perfect stop for runners, walkers, families, and even fishermen. There are three different trails at the park, including a .5 mile loop trail that is paved and ADA-accessible. The park also provides a fishing pier on Providence Lake for the public to enjoy. It’s a great place for a quiet walk or to try your hand at fishing.

  • Milton City Park and Preserve – Located off of Dinsmore Road, the Milton City Park consists of seven acres of “active” property and 130 acres of “passive” property that is protected from development. The active portion of the park consists of Milton City Pool, the Milton Tennis Center, and the Community Center. Trails are under development through the protected acreage including a recently added 2.5-mile loop.

The park is located on 97 acres and includes five lighted tennis courts, six pickleball courts, two multi-purpose synthetic turf fields, eight lighted softball fields, two playgrounds, Adult Activity Citer, a lake, Arts Building, Rotary Reflection Garden, Little Free Library, and walking trail. There are also two picnic pavilions available, one of which is available for rental.
