A Little About Me...

My initial interest in real estate came from one of the last places you might expect, a bad real estate experience. When we bought our first home (and quite honestly had zero idea what we were doing), we felt like a means to a paycheck, and quite honestly we couldn’t wait for the process to be over.  It should never be this way.  My mission is to provide an innovative and personalized real estate experience, no matter your budget because I believe that luxury is an experience, not a price point.  You deserve a real estate agent who does so much more than just open a door.

 

Since that less-than-stellar first impression of real estate, my husband and I have purchased, fixed up, and sold several homes in the area.  We took on our largest project to date in 2021, purchasing a distressed home in Milton, and are essentially rebuilding it from top to bottom.  These experiences have enabled me to envision the potential of a home, no matter its current state.  This vision has enabled me to both aid buyers in creating their dream home, and sellers in presenting their home in the best possible light so that they can maximize their investment.

 

Prior to my career in real estate, I received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Emory University and worked as a residency director, physical therapist, and clinical researcher for several years.  My career earned me multiple national awards, conference speaking engagements, and publications.  While residency director to real estate agent is certainly not the typical path, I took the leap and never looked back. Plus, the analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills required in my previous profession have all been major assets in the real estate field.

 

While I’ve lived in the Atlanta area for over 20 years, I currently call Milton home with my husband, two young children, and two rescue dogs.  In my free time you can generally find me out on a run, designing our next renovation project, or relaxing (as much as a mom can do with two toddlers) with a good glass of wine in my hands. 

To be completely honest, it’s easy to find a REALTOR® to buy or sell a home.  In fact, there are over 35,000 REALTORS® in Georgia alone.  The challenging part can be finding the best person for you.  That’s where I can help.  As a buyer and seller in several transactions in the real estate market prior to starting my career, I had some great experiences…and let’s just say some less than optimal ones.  Those not so great experiences are part of why I’m here in the first place.  I saw an opportunity to create an innovative, personalized, and high-quality service for you and to leverage my skills and resources as you make what just might be the largest investment of your life. 

 

  • Personalization: Everyone is different.  That’s pretty obvious, right?  Not everyone has the same needs, goals, expectations or timeline when buying or selling a home.  So why get the same cookie-cutter real estate experience as everyone else?  Your real estate experience should be tailored to YOU.  From your initial interview to your closing date, we will work together to create and update a customized plan to meet your individual needs.

 

  • Communication: Frequent and intentional communication is the MOST crucial element for a successful real estate experience.  Lack of communication is the most frequently cited complaint against real estate agents and it can mean the difference between getting your dream house, receiving an offer for your home, or missing out on either of those opportunities.  So, what does frequent, and intentional communication mean exactly?  It means that I am available for you.  It means regularly scheduled buyer or seller updates and never waiting around wondering what is happening with your home or an offer you placed.  It means knowing what the plan is to get you exactly what you need as a buyer or seller.  It means no guesswork and added stress.

 

  • Innovation: A lot has changed over the last 10 years, not just in real estate, but in life.  Think about it, ten years ago you could still rent a movie at Blockbuster, most of our current social media platforms didn’t exist, and neither did technologies like the iPad or FaceTime.  All that to say, you don’t want the same real estate experience from 10 years ago.  Having an agent that will leverage cutting-edge technology, resources and training can help your home listing reach more potential buyers or enable you to find a listing before it even hits the market.  These skills can be the difference-maker that allows you to get your home sold or enable you to find the new home of your dreams.  In addition, I am also constantly investing in and updating my own knowledge and training through real estate education, market analysis, and technology updates.  By consistently striving to improve my own skills, I am able to better advocate for you during your home buying or selling process.

 

  • Attention to Detail: Small things can make a big difference in real estate and I believe attention to detail is essential to your success, whether I am representing you as a buyer or seller.  As a seller, the optimal preparation and presentation of your home before and after it hits the market is what will get you that top-dollar offer.  To help, I have created specific resources for you to help make sure you have everything you need to show your home in the best possible light.  As a buyer, honing-in on the details that matter most to you and helping you visualize the potential of a space can get you the best possible home for your budget.  No matter if you are purchasing your first home or your tenth, this focused attention will enable me to create a customized experience for your individual needs and walk with you through the home buying process to make it as stress-free as possible.
